2024: Blackwater Gold Fish Salvage Program Management
-North River Consulting conducted Fish Salvage Program management for the Blackwater Gold Mine. This was one of the largest fish salvages in the province in 2024 with over 18,000 fish salvaged over a distance of ~40kms of stream channel. Works included fish salvage program management, implementing environmental controls during work and installation of drop structures to prevent fish recolonization of salvaged areas.

CN RAIL - Culvert Replacement - August 2018: North River Consulting provided environmental services for the installation of a new 6' culvert. Services included implementing stream diversion and site isolation, fish salvages, attaining environmental permits, prescribing and supervising the construction of baffles and in pipe embedment and outlet pool and channel construction and old pipe grouting.
CN Rail Emergency Response - February, 2018: North River Consulting provided emergency environmental services for a derailment. North River Consulting prescribed and supervised and undertook fish salvages, full stream channel reconstruction, restoration of riparian habitat, and installation of erosion and sediment control measures.
Upper Fraser Fisheries Conservation Alliance Fish Passage Enhancement 2016-2019: North River Consulting performed fish passage enhancement assessments, attained environmental permits, and conducted beaver trapping and beaver dam modification to support fish passage. North River also completed trapper training for UFFCA staff. This project has restored fish passage to over 60kms of streams allowing fish to reach important spawning areas.
